SVALTERA B.V.

Terms & policies

How ordering works at Svaltera: quotations and orders, prices, payment, delivery, returns, warranty and complaints.

October 2026

01 General provisions

  1. 1.1

These terms apply to every quotation, order and agreement between SVALTERA B.V. ("Svaltera", "we") and its customers. We supply only to customers acting in the course of a business or profession. By requesting a quotation or placing an order, the customer confirms that it does so.

  2. 1.2

    SVALTERA B.V., Stationsplein 8 K, 6221 BT Maastricht, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 97859575, VAT NL868263527B01. Email info@svaltera.nl, telephone +31 6 34 599 335.

  3. 1.3

Deviations from these terms are valid only if we have agreed to them in writing. Purchasing or other conditions of the customer do not apply unless we have accepted them in writing.

  4. 1.4

Product information, images and specifications on this website are based on manufacturer data and compiled with care, but we do not guarantee that they are complete or up to date, and obvious mistakes and typing errors are not binding. If the website and our quotation or order confirmation differ, the quotation or order confirmation applies. The manufacturer's datasheet is leading for technical properties.

  5. 1.5

Unless the manufacturer's documentation expressly states otherwise, products are not designed or approved for use in life-support or medical implant equipment, nuclear installations, aviation or space applications, or any other application in which a failure can reasonably be expected to cause death, personal injury or catastrophic damage. The customer is responsible for checking that a product is suitable for the intended application.

  6. 1.6

We supply products for civilian use and deliver only within the European Union. The customer complies with the export control and sanctions rules of the European Union and will not export, resell or transfer products to sanctioned persons or countries, or for use in connection with weapons. We may ask who the end user is and what the product will be used for, and may refuse or cancel an order if we have reason to believe these rules could be breached.

02 Quotations and orders

This website is a catalogue. There is no online checkout: you order by requesting a quotation.

  1. 2.1

You can request a quotation through the "Request Quote & Pricing" button on a product page, the contact form, by email or by telephone. Please state your company name and VAT number, the part numbers, quantities and delivery address.

  2. 2.2

Quotations are without obligation and valid for 14 days, unless the quotation states otherwise.

  3. 2.3

An agreement is concluded when we confirm your order in writing (by email). The order confirmation states the products, quantities, prices, delivery costs and expected delivery time. Please check it and report any mistake straight away.

  4. 2.4

Minimum order quantities and packaging units are shown per product. Where a product is only supplied in full packaging units, we round the quantity in consultation with you.

  5. 2.5

Orders for items we hold in stock can be changed or cancelled free of charge until they are dispatched. For items we order from the manufacturer for you, you may ask us to change or cancel the order and we will do what we reasonably can. Whether an amount already paid is refunded in full, in part or not at all, and whether costs are charged, depends on the circumstances, in particular on whether the manufacturer accepts the change and on the costs already incurred. We tell you the outcome before the change or cancellation is carried out.

  6. 2.6

We may refuse or cancel an order in the event of an obvious price or typing error, if a product is no longer available, if export or sanctions rules could be breached, or if there is justified doubt about payment. Anything already paid for the cancelled part is refunded.

03 Prices

  1. 3.1

Prices on this website are in euros, per piece, and are shown excluding VAT, with the price including 21% Dutch VAT in brackets; you can choose to see prices including VAT first. Quotations and invoices state net prices and add VAT where it applies; business customers in other EU countries with a valid VAT number are invoiced without Dutch VAT (see also 5.3). Delivery costs are not included, unless stated otherwise.

  2. 3.2

Website prices are indicative. The price that applies to your order is the price in our quotation or order confirmation, subject to 3.4.

  3. 3.3

Prices depend on quantity. For larger quantities, recurring demand or projects, ask us for volume pricing.

  4. 3.4

For items that are not in stock when you order, we may adjust the price if our purchase price changes before delivery, for example through manufacturer price increases, raw-material surcharges (such as copper or gold), exchange rates or import duties. We inform you before dispatch, and you may then cancel the affected items free of charge.

04 Payment

  1. 4.1

We send an invoice for every order. Payment is by bank transfer to the account stated on the invoice, within the payment term stated in the quotation or on the invoice.

  2. 4.2

A customer who does not pay on time is in default without further notice and owes the statutory commercial interest (Article 6:119a of the Dutch Civil Code) and the reasonable costs of collection, with a minimum of €40.

  3. 4.3

The customer may not suspend payment or set off amounts against our invoices. A complaint about a delivery does not suspend the obligation to pay for the parts of the delivery the complaint does not concern.

  4. 4.4

While an invoice is overdue we may suspend further deliveries.

05 Delivery

  1. 5.1

Goods are delivered either DAP (Incoterms 2020) to the agreed address in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the European Union, or EXW (Incoterms 2020) Maastricht when the customer collects the goods or arranges its own transport. The quotation or order confirmation states which applies; if it does not, DAP applies.

  2. 5.2

Under DAP we ship by parcel carrier, delivery costs depend on weight, size and destination and are stated in the quotation, and the risk passes to the customer when the goods arrive at the agreed address. Under EXW the goods are made available at our address in Maastricht on the agreed date, the customer bears the transport costs, and the risk passes to the customer when the goods are made available for collection.

  3. 5.3

When a customer in another EU country collects the goods or arranges the transport itself, it gives us, on request, a signed statement that the goods were transported to that country, so that we can invoice without Dutch VAT. Without it we may charge Dutch VAT.

  4. 5.4

Items in stock are normally dispatched, or ready for collection, within 2 to 4 working days after the order confirmation. For other items the order confirmation states the expected delivery time.

  5. 5.5

Delivery times are estimates based on information from manufacturers and are not strict deadlines. If a delivery is delayed we inform you. A delay does not entitle the customer to compensation. The customer may cancel the delayed part of an order after giving us a reasonable further period in writing and that period has passed.

  6. 5.6

We may deliver an order in parts. Each part delivery may be invoiced separately.

  7. 5.7

Please check the delivery on arrival. Report visible transport damage, shortages or wrong items within 14 days of delivery, with photographs of the goods and the packaging. After that period the delivery counts as complete and free of visible damage.

06 Returns and right of withdrawal

  1. 6.1

    Withdrawal period

Unless agreed otherwise, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving your order without giving any reason. Following withdrawal, you have an additional 14 days to return the goods. The direct shipping costs for the return are the responsibility of the customer. Items we order from the manufacturer specifically for you can only be returned if the manufacturer accepts the return; whether the amount paid is then refunded in full or in part depends on the manufacturer's conditions and the costs already incurred. We tell you the outcome before you send such items back.

  2. 6.2

    Product condition

During the withdrawal period, you must handle the product and packaging with care. The item may only be returned in an unused, undamaged condition and, where reasonably possible, in its original packaging. We do not charge restocking fees.

  3. 6.3

    Defective or incorrect items

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, notify us within 14 days of delivery. In such cases, we will provide or reimburse the return label and arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

  4. 6.4

    Refund processing

Except for items ordered from the manufacturer for you (see 6.1), we will issue a full refund (including standard initial delivery charges) within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, provided the items have been received or proof of return shipment has been provided. Refunds are processed using the original payment method. If the invoice has not been paid yet, we cancel or credit it instead.

07 Warranty and complaints

  1. 7.1

Products carry the warranty given by their manufacturer. The warranty period and conditions differ per product and manufacturer; ask us for the warranty that applies to a product before you order. We do not give a warranty beyond the manufacturer's. If a product proves defective within the manufacturer's warranty period under normal use, we will, at our choice, have it repaired, replace it or credit the price.

  2. 7.2

The warranty does not cover defects caused by incorrect installation or connection, use outside the limits in the datasheet, modification, normal wear, or external causes such as overvoltage, moisture or mechanical damage.

  3. 7.3

To make a complaint, email info@svaltera.nl with the order or invoice number, a description of the problem and, where useful, photographs. Report a defect that was not visible on delivery within 14 days after you discover it. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

  4. 7.4

Advice we give on product selection or application is given in good faith on the basis of the information you provide. The customer remains responsible for checking suitability against the manufacturer's datasheet and for correct installation by a qualified person.

08 Liability and force majeure

  1. 8.1

We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from a defect in or malfunction of a product we supplied, including indirect and consequential loss such as loss of production, loss of profit, damage to other goods, and the cost of removing and reinstalling products. If we are nevertheless liable, our liability is limited to the invoice value of the order to which the claim relates.

  2. 8.2

These limitations do not apply to damage caused by intent or deliberate recklessness of our management, or to liability that cannot be limited by law.

  3. 8.3

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including late delivery by manufacturers or carriers, component shortages, transport disruption, government measures and sanctions. If such a situation lasts longer than 60 days, either party may cancel the affected part of the order without owing compensation.

09 Retention of title

  1. 9.1

Delivered goods remain our property until the customer has paid in full everything it owes us for goods we delivered. Until then the customer may use or resell the goods only in the ordinary course of business and may not pledge them.

10 Privacy

SVALTERA B.V. is responsible for the personal data described here.

  1. 10.1

We keep the messages you send us through the contact form and by email, the contact details in them, and the order and invoice records for the orders you place. We use them only to answer your requests, carry out and administer your orders, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell personal data or use it for anything else.

  2. 10.2

    REVIEW

We keep email correspondence without a fixed end date, as part of our customer records. Order and invoice records are kept for at least 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires. You can ask us at any time to delete correspondence we no longer need.

You asked to keep emails indefinitely. The GDPR does not allow keeping personal data longer than needed, so "forever" cannot be written as a rule. This wording (no fixed end date, deletion on request) is the closest defensible version. Safer still: add a clean-up, for example deleting correspondence with contacts who have not been in touch for 5 years.

  3. 10.3

    REVIEW

Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us by Web3Forms. Our email is hosted by Vimexx. Both handle the data only on our behalf.

Check two things: (1) that you have a data processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) with both; most providers offer a standard one, ask them if you cannot find it; (2) where Web3Forms stores data. If outside the EU, its terms must include the EU standard contractual clauses, and this clause should say the data may be processed outside the EU.

  4. 10.4

You can ask us at info@svaltera.nl to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its use. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

11 Applicable law and disputes

  1. 11.1

Dutch law applies to all agreements with us. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.

  2. 11.2

Disputes are submitted exclusively to the District Court of Limburg, location Maastricht.

  3. 11.3

If a provision of these terms proves to be invalid, the other provisions remain in force and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes as close as possible to its purpose.

  4. 11.4

We may amend these terms. The version published on this website at the time of your order applies to that order.

  5. 11.5

These terms are available in English, Dutch and German. If the language versions differ, the English version prevails.
